Prior to Adobe, he served as VP Marketing & Sales at Mindflash Technologies.

His career spans over 30 years and includes extensive experience in corporate finance, manufacturing, finance operations, and global financial markets. Prior to establishing Meritage in 2003, Tom served in various positions at Dell, including SVP of Business Development and Strategy, Managing Director of Dell Ventures and CFO.

Mr. James M. Schneider, also known as Jim, CPA, serves as an Operating Partner at Lead Edge Capital Management, LLC. Jim worked with Dell for nearly 10 years, ultimately serving as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Dell Computer in September 1996, he was with MCI, where he served as its Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance. For 19 years prior to joining MCI, Mr. Schneider was with the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse LLP and served as a Partner from October 1983 to September 1993. For two consecutive years, Institutional Investor named him a top Chief Financial Officer in I/T hardware and in 2003, he was named one of the 100 most influential Finance Executives by Treasury & Risk Management magazine. He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Carroll College, and is a Member of the Financial Executives Institute. In addition to Zilliant, James is on the boards of Frontier Bancshares, Horizon Bank, General Communications, Multlink Technology, Centro, and Maritime Systems & Sensors.

Steve authored two books, The Little Guide to Your Well-Read Life (2005) and Holding Dear: The Value of the Real (2013). Steve serves in various education roles for the Young Presidents’ Organization. Steve also serves on the board of the National Book Foundation and joined the board of Conscious Capitalism in 2013. Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Sociology from Cornell. He was also a 2015 Fellow at the Harvard ALI (Advanced Leadership Initiative) program.
